WELCOME MISS PHOEBE – Celebrating a home birth in Alton, Iowa.
Phoebe was welcomed into the world at home, by parents Ryan and Carlianne. The Northfield family had a safe and empowering home birth experience in Alton, Iowa under the care of experienced Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg.

Ryan and Carlianne chose to receive their prenatal care from Promise Community Health Center, a trusted provider of home birth services in Sioux Center, Iowa. Promise’s team of three certified nurse midwives – Audra De Groot, Kari Ney, and Jeannette Hasley – along with registered nurses, medical assistants, and interpreters, provided exceptional care and support throughout Phoebe’s journey into the world.
The home birth took place in the Northfield’s welcoming home, with Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg providing expert guidance and assistance. Miss Phoebe was born into a nurturing environment surrounded by her loved ones.
Phoebe is also welcomed by big brother Elijah (4) and Ada (2).
At Phoebe’s home birth, the focus was on empowering the mother and providing a safe and supportive environment for the baby’s arrival. Congratulations to the Northfield family on this beautiful home birth experience!

Patients must be located within 60 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
