PROMISE BOARD
Promise Community Health Center is a patient centered board-governed organization. Our board is composed of committed and enthusiastic individuals from the community, including business leaders, organization partners and patients of the health center. Our board holds regular meetings, volunteers at our events, advocates for Promise and its patients, plans for Promise’s future, and oversees its operations and financial committments.

PROMISE EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP
Emily Tuschen, CEO

Emily Tuschen was named the Chief Executive Officer in July 2022, since October 2018 she had served as Co-Chief Executive Officer. In this role, she also serves as chief operating officer, overseeing the continued development of clinical services at the health center, including medical, prenatal, dental, vision, and mental health.
Tuschen began serving at Promise in January 2016 as a clinic nurse. She has also served as clinic manager and chief operating officer.
Tuschen brings varied medical experience and expertise to Promise, previously working at critical access hospitals in a variety of departments, including emergency, labor and delivery, postpartum and medical floor.
She earned an associate’s degree in nursing at St. Luke’s College in Sioux City in 2008 and a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing at Dordt College in Sioux Center in 2009.
