Gary and Donna received their prenatal care for Asher Robert from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse, Erica Robertson part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Deckers opened their home for Asher’s home birth in Centerville, Iowa. Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Erica Robertson helped deliver Asher during the birth at their home.
Asher was welcomed into the family by big sisters Evelynn (11) and Hosanna (5) and big brothers Matthew (8) and Xander (3)!

Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
