Promise Community Health Center is continuing #HereForEveryStep, a campaign designed to raise awareness of Promise CHC’s Women’s Health services, team members, and opportunities for patients.
Promise wants you to know our Women’s Health Team is here for every step no matter what your needs are or where you are in life. We are here for you whether you need a well-women health physical, want to learn more about birth control and free pregnancy testing, are seeking prenatal care, need a consultation to choose a home birth or hospital birth, are thinking about postpartum care, want to learn about natural birth planning, we are here for every step.
This campaign will highlight the Women’s Health team members Kari Ney, Audra DeGroot, Jeannette Hasley, Erica Robertson, Kris Tinklenberg, and Heidy Hernandez – all incredible women who take an important role in serving our communities. They will discuss how their roles at Promise Community Health Center started, changed, and why they are passionate about the Women’s Health field.
Midwifery care of normal, physiologic birth differs so much from traditional Women’s health care. Here at Promise CHC, We strive to build relationships and listen to what clients want in their journey to optimal health.– Kari Ney, ARNP— Certified Nurse Midwife
I feel blessed to be at Promise and able to provide the Midwifery model of care to women. Providing an individualized approach to women as they journey through the different stages of life.– Audra DeGroot, ARNP — Certified Nurse Midwife
Here at Promise CHC, it’s not just work for me, it is serving. Making a difference, contributing to the community, educating women, and giving them the power to make their own decisions and choosing what healthcare they want, is so important. This is the difference between the medical and Midwifery approach.– Jeannette Hasley, ARNP — Certified Nurse Midwife
We have the opportunity to care for women and moms throughout their pregnancy, assist with the birth and then see them again after the baby is born. It is rewarding to work with women throughout their lives.– Erica Robertson, RN, CLC – OB Coordinator, OB Clinic Nurse, Certified Lactation Counselor
Our prenatal team is always ready to serve women and their babies. I get excited when we find ways to improve their childbirth experience.– Kris Tinklenberg, RN, CLC – OB Clinic Nurse, Certified Lactation Counselor
I feel like a lot of Hispanic moms don’t know that they have the option to have a home birth. I feel that our communities are grateful that we are here to provide them not just medical care, but also help them with their needs financially.– Heidy Hernandez - OB Medical Assistant
