Katie and Brandon received their prenatal care for Miss Madison from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg, part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Widman’s opened their home for Madison’s home birth in Merrill, Iowa. Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg helped deliver Miss Madison during the birth at their home.
Miss Madison Elizabeth was welcomed into the family by big brother Benjamin (3) and big sister Karis (1)!

Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
