Promise Community Health Center is excited to welcome Dr. Joselynn Castillo, DDS, to its growing Dental Team. With a passion for serving others, a bilingual background, and a commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Castillo is eager to help individuals and families throughout northwest Iowa achieve healthy smiles.
Originally from Blackfoot, Idaho, Dr. Castillo recently completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. Along the way, she gained experience in many areas of healthcare, working as a medical interpreter, dental assistant, tutor, and note taker. These experiences strengthened her passion for helping patients feel understood and cared for.
Dr. Castillo first learned about Promise Community Health Center through a professor during dental school. She was drawn to Promise’s mission of improving access to quality healthcare and its commitment to serving the community.

As a General Dentist, Dr. Castillo will provide comprehensive dental services for patients of all ages, including preventive dental care, routine cleanings and exams, fillings, crowns, tooth extractions, oral health education, and restorative dentistry. She is passionate about helping patients maintain healthy smiles while making every dental visit a positive experience.
One of Dr. Castillo’s greatest strengths is her ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds. As a bilingual provider, she is able to communicate with both English- and Spanish-speaking patients, helping remove language barriers and ensuring patients feel heard and understood. She also describes herself as friendly and creative, qualities that help put patients at ease and create a welcoming environment, especially for those who may feel anxious about dental appointments.
At Promise Community Health Center, Dr. Castillo will work alongside the integrated healthcare team to provide high-quality, affordable dental care for children, adults, and families. Promise accepts Medicaid, Medicare (where applicable), and most major insurance plans, making it easier for patients to access the dental care they need close to home.
Outside of work, Dr. Castillo enjoys staying connected with her family, who live in Idaho and Omaha.
She is excited to begin this next chapter at Promise Community Health Center and looks forward to making a positive impact on the oral health of the communities she serves.
