Mr. Parsenn was welcomed into the world at home by his parents Dillon and Hope Borchardt. The Borchardt family had a safe and empowering home birth experience in Vermillion, South Dakota, under the care of experienced Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg.

Dillon and Hope Borchardt chose to receive their prenatal care from Promise Community Health Center, a trusted provider of home birth services in Sioux Center, Iowa. Promise’s team of two certified nurse midwives – Audra De Groot and Kari Ney – along with registered nurses, medical assistants, and interpreters, provided exceptional care and support throughout Parsenn’s journey into the world.
The home birth took place in the Borchardt’s welcoming home, with Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg providing expert guidance and assistance. Baby Parsenn James was born into a nurturing environment surrounded by his loved ones.
Parsenn is also welcomed by big sister Emrys (21 mo).
At Mr. Parsenn’s home birth, the focus was on empowering the family and providing a safe, supportive environment for the baby’s arrival. Congratulations to the Borchardt family on this beautiful home birth experience!

Dillon and Hope said some of the highlights from their home birth were finding out they were having a boy and Parsenn’s sister saying “I love him” the first time she saw him. They loved having the same birth team and support leading up to the birth and years after. The Borchardts shared that Parsenn’s name came from where Dillon and Hope got engaged – Winter Park, Co Parsenn Bowl!
