Kayla and Justice’s Promise Experience
What did you appreciate most about your prenatal checkups and appointments?
“We never felt rushed at our prenatal appointments. Audra always spent as much time with us as we needed. She patiently answered all of our questions. Each appointment gave us so much peace about the natural process of pregnancy and childbirth.”
What did you appreciate most about your labor/delivery experience?
“Audra and our nurse Jaclyn empowered me to trust and listen to my body. They provided many suggestions to help my body throughout labor, but I never felt pressured by them to progress along a specific timeframe. They were patient with my body and my baby’s timing. After a long labor and noticing my decreasing energy and need for rest, Audra suggested we consider a hospital transfer. I appreciated her honest assessment of the situation, her prioritization of me and my baby’s health, and her encouragement that I had been doing everything right even though our birth wasn’t looking like we expected. Audra contacted the hospital, and the medical professionals there knew to expect us, so our transfer was smooth. Audra checked in with us the next day, and we were so grateful to be able to have our postpartum care with her and the Promise team.”
What would you tell other patients considering coming to Promise for their prenatal care?
“I highly recommend Promise for prenatal care. We felt heard, understood, and invested in throughout our pregnancy. Audra was so personal and present with us throughout our care.”
What would you tell other patients considering having a home birth?
“Although we did not end up having a home birth, our time laboring at home with the support of Promise was a highlight of our birth journey. It was so peaceful, and we felt comfortable knowing Audra and Jaclyn were there to assist in the birth of our son. Birth is such a natural process, and Promise is there to empower parents to birth in the way that they and their babies need.”
