Promise Community Health Center is thrilled to welcome Family Nurse Practitioner, Wyatt Cook, to our team!
Originally from Shullsburg, Wisconsin, Wyatt lived in Wisconsin most of his life. Once he began his master’s degree, he moved with his family to Sheldon, Iowa. His extensive experience in healthcare includes working with Gundersen hospitals in La Crosse, Wisconsin, as a nurse in an emergency and outpatient dialysis unit. After moving to Sheldon, he worked for Sanford Health in obstetrics, ER, and medical-surgical nursing. Wyatt then practiced as a family nurse practitioner in Hartley and emergency care at Hegg Health Center in Rock Valley, Iowa.
Wyatt’s passion for rural healthcare is rooted in his desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. He loves Promise’s emphasis on preventive care and patient education, believing that empowering individuals with knowledge about their health can lead to better outcomes and healthier communities. He is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care, ensuring that every patient feels heard, respected, and well-cared for. Wyatt looks forward to working with a diverse population and serving those who are often overlooked.
