Jude Kevin is the son of Kevin and Betsy O’Neil of Beresford, SD.

Certified Nurse Midwife Pam Hulstein and Nurses Erica Robertson and Clazina Blom of Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care and delivery services for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth in Beresford, South Dakota.
Jude was welcomed into the family by big brothers Jack (7) and Luke (2) and big sisters Bridget (11), Molly (9), Annie (6), and Julia (4).
Betsy felt very supported from prenatal care to delivery and after. Pam and Erica addressed all her concerns during prenatal checkups.
During delivery, Pam coached the parents over the phone until she arrived. Betsy praises Pam for her calm presence during her past 3 deliveries.
Pam and Clazina made a great team after delivery, allowing Kevin and Betsy to fully enjoy their baby and those precious moments post-birth.

Promise Community Health Center is the only facility in the northwest Iowa area that offers the opportunity to have an assisted birth in your home with Certified Nurse Midwives. Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
