Taylor and Whitney received their prenatal care for Mr. Winston from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg, part of the OB birth team from Promise.

Taylor and Whitney loved being able to listen to their baby’s heartbeat early on in the pregnancy. Some of their favorite experiences were watching Winston be delivered, taking his first breath, and sleeping.

Promise Community Health Center is the only facility in the northwest Iowa area that offers the opportunity to have an assisted birth in your home with Certified Nurse Midwives. Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
