Mylidiah and Jon received their prenatal care for Walter from Certified Nurse Midwives Belinda Lassen and Audra De Groot at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Erica Robertson part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Korthuis family opened their home for Walter Jon’s home birth in Sioux Center, Iowa. Certified Nurse Midwives Audra De Groot and Belinda Lassen and OB Nurse Erica Robertson helped deliver Walter during the birth at their home.
Walter Jon was welcomed into the family by two adorable big sisters named Jenny (4) and Lizzy (2)!

Throughout the whole pregnancy, Mylidiah and Jon felt well taken care of and well informed. During labor and delivery, Belinda, Erica and Audra did a wonderful job of making us feel as comfortable and making everything go as smooth as possible. The midwives and OB nurse were quick to answer any questions while we recovered at home.

Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
