Heather and Travis received their prenatal care for Miss Gracelyn from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg, part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Hanson family opened their home for Gracelyn’s home birth in Sioux City, Iowa. Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg helped deliver Miss Gracelyn Rose during the birth at their home.
Gracelyn was welcomed into the family by big sister, 1 year old Briella!

The Hanson family appreciated how everyone at Promise was so welcoming at all their prenatal checkups. They always felt like they got all their questions answered and were never rushed at their appointments. At their home birth the Hanson family appreciated the great support they got from Kari Ney, the midwife and Kris, the OB Nurse. After Miss Gracelyn was born the Hanson family was able to enjoy a relaxing post birth experience at home and they loved being a part of the whole birthing process.

Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
