Michael and Shyna received their prenatal care for Miss Claire from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg, part of the home birth team from Promise.
Their family opened their home for Claire’s home birth in Moville, Iowa. Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg helped deliver Miss Claire Elowyn during the birth at their home.
Claire was welcomed into the family by big brothers Silas (5) and Oliver (2).

Our Iowa Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 60 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
