Kelsie and Anthony received their prenatal care for Louis from Certified Nurse Midwife Audra De Groot at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Beth Marsh, part of the home birth team from Promise.
Kelsie and Anthony opened their home for Louis’s home birth. Certified Nurse Midwife Audra De Groot and OB Nurse Beth Marsh helped deliver Louis Thomas during the birth at their home.
Louis was welcomed into the family by a big sister.

Promise Community Health Center is the only facility in the northwest Iowa area that offers the opportunity to have an assisted birth in your home with a Certified Nurse Midwife. Our Iowa Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 60 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
