August Michael, son of Jake and Audra DeGroot, was born 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in his home, weighing 9 pounds, 4 ounces, and measuring 22 inches. He has four siblings, Keira, 11; Zoe, 8; Liam, 6; and Aria, 3.
Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.
