May is National Mental Health Awareness month also known as Brain Health month.
Healthy Sioux County, a coalition of community health organizations and community resource providers, are encouraging schools, libraries, businesses and community members to get out during the month of May to “CHALK THE WALK.”

It’s OK to have a mental illness – many people do.
It’s OK to talk about mental illness – talking makes people feel less alone.
It’s OK to get help with mental illness – life can get better. (Iowa Healthiest State Initiative- Make it OK)

Together we can reduce the stigma, encourage the conversation, normalized seeking help and spread joy! Grab your family, your friends, your neighbors, your co-workers and CHALK THE WALK with us!

If you or someone you know is struggling help is available, you are never alone.
