Arianna and Joseph received their prenatal care for Mr. Dallas Wayne from Certified Nurse Midwife Audra De Groot at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Erica Robertson, part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Brown family opened their home for Dallas’s home birth in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Certified Nurse Midwife Audra De Groot and OB Nurse Erica Robertson helped deliver Mr. Dallas during the birth at their home.
Dallas was welcomed into the family by big brother Aden (12) and big sisters Vivienne (5), Natalie (3), and Juliette (2).

Arianna and Joseph said while it can be a hassle to drive down to Sioux Center from Sioux Falls, it is worth it for the amazing and caring staff at Promise. This was the Brown’s second home birth and they felt the journey went much smoother, relaxed, and was more enjoyable this time around. They loved being surrounded by people they could trust!

Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 60 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
