Isaac and Aysha received their prenatal care for Miss Piper from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg, part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Cook family opened their home for Piper’s home birth. Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg helped deliver Piper Lynn during the birth at their home.

Isaac and Aysha appreciated the caregivers’ immense patience and willingness to answer all of their questions. They felt that all the caregivers were very professional. Aysha shared that being able to give birth in a tub made labor and delivery so much easier and more comfortable for her. They also were grateful that their home birth gave them the ability to stay home and not have to travel.

Promise Community Health Center is the only facility in the northwest Iowa area that offers the opportunity to have an assisted birth in your home with Certified Nurse Midwives. Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
