Adrian is the son of Jeff and Jolene Van Beek. The Van Beek family had a hospital birth at Avera in Sioux Falls.

Jeff and Jolene received their prenatal care for Mr. Adrian Joah from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg, part of OB birth team from Promise.
Adrian was welcomed into the family by big sisters Hadassah (6), Sophia (4) and big brother Nicolas (2).

Jeff and Jolene appreciated the time that Kris Tinklenberg and Kari Ney took in caring for them. They had previously had Kari as a nurse for home births of their two girls and were excited to have her be their midwife until 32 weeks! The Van Beeks also said that the transfer of care from Promise to Avera was excellent!

Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
