Tyler and Tiffany received their prenatal care for Miss Oakley from Certified Nurse Midwife Belinda Lassen at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Erica Robertson, part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Armstrong family opened their home for Miss Oakley Grace’s home birth in Sioux Center, Iowa. Certified Nurse Midwife Belinda Lassen and OB Nurse Erica Robertson helped deliver Oakley Grace, during the birth at their home.
Miss Oakley was welcomed into the family by big brother TJ and big sister Henley who were VERY excited to meet their little sister!

Thanks to Promise and our Midwife, Belinda I have had the amazing experience of delivering all 3 of my healthy babies safely at home. There is just something special about birthing in your own space, making it much easier to get in to the “zone.” Couple that with the calming presence of my Promise Midwife and RN, so much of the “rush” and fear is removed and you can just buckle down and have your baby. I am so grateful that home births and midwifery are an option for families in our area.

Promise Community Health Center is the only facility in the northwest Iowa area that offers the opportunity to have an assisted birth in your home with Certified Nurse Midwives. Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
