Esperansa and Gabino received their prenatal care for Mr. Teo from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg, part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Del Real family opened their home for Teo Jadiel’s home birth in Hull, Iowa. Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg helped deliver Teo Jadiel during the birth at their home.
Teo was welcomed into the family by big brother Oliver Eduardo who is three years old!

Esperansa and Gabino had all their prenatal visits at Promise Community Health Center. At the visits they loved hearing Teo’s heartbeat and seeing him move on ultrasound. Esperansa loved having Teo at home and enjoyed the whole home birth experience. After Teo was born, Gabino and Esperansa enjoyed getting to know him right in their own home!

Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
