Erica Robertson, RN, CLC is HERE FOR EVERY STEP!
Erica Robertson, RN, CLC – OB Coordinator, OB Clinic Nurse, and Certified Lactation Counselor has worked at Promise Community Health Center for nine years. Before joining our team, she worked at Sioux Center Health in Medical Surgery, OB, and the Emergency Room. She had not considered being a home birth nurse until she learned about Promise’s home birth team. After seeing the impact Promise Community Health Center was making in the community, she was drawn to it. Just one home birth later, she knew she had found her calling. Erica feels it is a great privilege to be involved in a woman’s healthcare to support them and their families. “Promise doesn’t just say we have a mission, Promise lives that mission out by helping others as a team,” Erica Robertson shares.

Some of Erica’s favorite aspects of her job are being the first to be able to share ultrasounds pictures with a family and getting to know and educate families throughout pregnancies. Promise’s experienced Women’s Health team offers care that is attentive to the needs of the patient and their growing family. The team supports women through every stage of change in their life.

Erica recommends considering a midwife for your pregnancy. Midwives specialize in low-risk prenatal care and birth; they also take the time to listen to you and make sure you are heard. The Promise women’s health team consults with families to ensure a healthy pregnancy/birth. Even if home birth is not something you are considering or comfortable with, Erica recommends care from a midwife!

Promise Community Health Center Midwives in Iowa
Promise Community Health Center is the only facility in the northwest Iowa area that offers the opportunity to have an assisted birth in your home with a Certified Nurse Midwife. Our Iowa Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 60 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history. Call Promise to schedule an appointment for free pregnancy testing and meet with a Promise Nurse for next steps. Your plan may include scheduling an appointment with our Promise midwife providers for prenatal care or fertility counseling. If you don’t wish to become pregnant right now, your plan can include scheduling an appointment with our providers for birth control options.
