Sioux Center, IA. – May 9, 2022 – The Board of Directors at Promise Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving northwest Iowa, is pleased to announce that Emily Tuschen, current Co-CEO and COO, has been named the Chief Executive Officer of Promise Community Health Center beginning July 1, 2022. Transitioning from Co-CEO and CFO, Amy Kleinhesselink has resigned and is pursuing other opportunities outside of Promise Community Health Center.
Since 2018 Emily Tuschen and Amy Kleinhesselink have served as Co-CEOs working together to oversee the financial and clinical services development for Promise.
Emily Tuschen began serving at Promise in January 2016 as a clinic nurse. Emily has also served as clinic manager and chief operating officer. She brings varied medical experience and expertise to Promise, previously working at critical access hospitals in a variety of departments, including emergency, labor and delivery, postpartum and medical floor. Emily earned an associate’s degree in nursing at St. Luke’s College in Sioux City in 2008 and a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing at Dordt College in Sioux Center in 2009.
