Derek and Sara chose to receive their prenatal care from Promise Community Health Center, a trusted provider of home birth services in Sioux Center, Iowa. Promise’s team of three certified nurse midwives – Audra De Groot, Kari Ney, and Jeannette Hasley – along with registered nurses, medical assistants, and interpreters, provided exceptional care and support throughout Krue’s journey into the world.
The home birth took place in the Hurtig’s welcoming home, with Certified Nurse Midwife Jeannette Hasley and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg providing expert guidance and assistance. Mr. Krue Vincent was born into a nurturing environment surrounded by his loved ones.
Baby Krue is also welcomed by big brothers Huxley (7) and Nash (5) and big sisters Kinsley (3) and Lainey (1).
At Krue’s home birth, the focus was on empowering the family and providing a safe, supportive environment for the baby’s arrival. Congratulations to the Hurtig family on this beautiful home birth experience!
The Hurtigs’ Promise Home Birth Experience
One of the highlights of the Hurtigs’ Promise experience was being able to talk to Jeannette Hasley about any concerns and questions they had. They felt that she was so great at being open-minded, supportive, knowledgeable, and kind. Derek and Sara said that during labor Jeannette was so calm and Kris Tinklenberg was so caring – the home birth was better than they could have ever imagined!
