Promise Community Health Center is delighted to announce that Jessica Koedam has stepped into the role of Director of Clinical Services. With years of experience and a profound dedication to patient care, Jess is poised to lead our clinical services to new heights.
Jess’s journey with Promise began in 2018 when she joined the team as a triage nurse and clinic nurse. In these roles, she provided patient education and assessments over the phone and worked closely with the medical provider team in the clinic, addressing a wide range of health concerns.
In 2021, she transitioned into the role of Clinical Care Coordinator, where she focused on ensuring patient access, follow-up, and the coordination of services. Her role expanded further in 2022 when she took on the position of Clinical Operations Coordinator. In this capacity, she helped develop the Call Center and oversaw the Patient Access Representatives. During this time, she worked to enhance the Call Center’s services, striving to best serve Promise’s patients and programs.
She was drawn to Promise by the opportunity to work within her community, where she could make a tangible impact. “I was drawn to working in the community where my family and I live, getting to know more about the community and feeling more a part of the town,” she says. “I also love Promise’s mission to serve our community and surrounding towns, and how Promise staff thinks outside the box to help individuals.”
Her passion for patient advocacy and education has been a driving force throughout her career. She cherishes the opportunity to partner with patients to help them achieve their health goals, a passion that she will continue to bring to her new role.
As the new Director of Clinical Services, Jess will oversee the medical clinic department and staff, managing day-to-day clinical operations. She is particularly excited about the opportunity to be more involved in developing programs within the medical clinic and ensuring that Promise continues to adapt to the evolving needs of its patients.
Jess is enthusiastic about contributing to the innovative spirit at Promise. “Promise’s teams have great ideas for future services and ways to improve care for patients,” she explains. “It’s exciting to see more programs being developed and planned, and to imagine how they could directly help our community.”
Reflecting on her journey and her new role, Jess adds, “Caring for patients and ensuring their voices are heard is still my priority, but my heart has also grown in the desire to support Promise’s teams and to serve the organization in a different capacity, while still supporting our community.”
