Promise Community Health Center is excited to welcome our new Dentist Dr. Maya Chuppe, to our team!
Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Maya has always had a deep-rooted passion for healthcare. Her decision to go to dental school was driven by a desire to serve her community and make a difference in people’s lives.
Her academic career began at the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, MN, where she excelled in her studies and immersed herself in various extracurricular activities. From playing fastpitch softball to being an active member of the Ski and Snowboard Club and Events Planning Committee, Maya embraced the college experience, gaining leadership and teamwork skills along the way.
While in dental school at Creighton University, she continued her commitment to her studies and extracurricular involvement. She became deeply engaged in multiple organizations, such as the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), where she served as a Past Chapter President and National Chair. Maya also lent her talents as a Student Ambassador, Class Secretary, and Teaching Assistant, showcasing her dedication to her peers and the dental profession.
Her pursuit of being a Dentist was fueled by her hands-on experiences serving underserved communities domestically and internationally. Volunteering at Creighton’s After-Hours extraction clinic and Cura Clinic, Maya witnessed firsthand the impact of providing affordable dental care to those in need. Her volunteer work extended beyond U.S. borders as she ventured to the Institute of Latin American Concern (ILAC) in Santiago, Dominican Republic. While there, she participated in setting up mobile dental clinics and collaborating with medical professionals to deliver comprehensive care to rural communities.
As Maya starts her dental career, we are thrilled that she will join the Promise Community Health Center Dental Team! She was drawn to the office culture that feels like family and commitment to holistic care. Promise CHC provides comprehensive dental services to underserved populations, aligning perfectly with her values and aspirations. As she assumes the role of Dentist, Maya eagerly anticipates the opportunity to serve and connect with patients.
For Maya Chuppe, dentistry isn’t just a profession—it’s a calling to serve, uplift, and empower her community, one smile at a time. Joining the Promise Community Health Center Dental Team will allow her to continue making a positive impact on the lives of others.
