Josh and Jennifer received their prenatal care for Miss Mabel from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg, part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Powell family opened their home for Mabel’s home birth in Sioux Center, Iowa. Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg helped deliver Mabel Claire during the birth at their home.
Miss Mabel was welcomed into the family by big sisters Hazel (3), Evelyn (7) and Alivia (11), and big brothers Owen (1) and Liam (9)!
The Powell Family Promise Experience.
Jennifer shared really appreciating being about to have conversations with Kari Ney, Midwife at Promise Community Health Center, about the pros and cons of a home birth and all the decisions being made. Jennifer also shared that she appreciated being treated like a person and not a number as she was given so much time, care and love during all her prenatal appointments. The Powell family loved the peace and comfort of delivering their babe at home, it was a beautiful experience!
