Promise Community Health Center is excited to announce Kara Acevedo as Chief Financial Officer!
After working for a local public accounting firm for seven years, which included tax preparation and more, she started working at Promise Community Health Center as a Financial Specialist. As a Financial Specialist, Kara was responsible for accounts payable, grant tracking, budget assistance, and payroll preparation. In June 2022, she became Promise’s Director of Finance, where she directed various financial functions, produced and presented monthly financial reports for the board of directors, prepared budgets, and more.
Kara was drawn to Promise because she was excited to find a position that still included finances, various projects to work on daily, and working in the private accounting industry. Working at Promise means she only has one client to focus on, allowing her to give more time to her growing family.
At Promise, we continue to focus on meeting the patients where they are. The exciting part about that is knowing that as we grow, we have touched many more lives. As we touch more lives, we make a larger impact on our community and our very own neighbors.– Kara Acevedo, Chief Financial Officer
Since working at Promise, Kara has enjoyed working through annual and monthly financial analyses for Promise and being able to dig deeper into each department based on those results. If she can help make processes more efficient and effective for the growing health center, that excites her.
As the medical industry continues to evolve, Kara is excited to advance her financial expertise and keep Promise on track for what is to come as the Chief Financial Officer.
