Dr. Stokes is Here for Every Step supporting our mental health therapists to provide cutting-edge, evidence-based practice therapy. This means supervising and collaborating with all mental health team members. Dr. Valerie Stokes began partnering years ago with former Promise Community Health Center director, Nancy Dykstra, to develop the vision for an on-site mental health team. She has supervised the mental health therapists since the program’s inception. Dr. Stokes also supervises Promise’s social worker. Her supervision highlights our relational, strengths-based approach. She believes the therapy relationship is a powerful conduit for change. Dr. Stokes wants our patients to feel validated and receive a highly personalized experience with effective treatment strategies proven to work.
Our team believes that mental health is a journey. The mental health team wants to partner with you along the way. There are many steps in getting mentally healthy and Promise will help with every step.
