My name is Kendra Borchers, and I am the pharmacist at Promise Community Health Center. I work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, medical assistants, and the population health team to improve the health of our patients and the surrounding community. I also strive to serve as an information resource for our staff and patients by being available to answer medication and vaccination questions.
I work with our healthcare providers to management disease states like diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I assist them by analyzing lab values, offering medication recommendations, and adjusting medications dosages as appropriate. Additionally, I work with the population health team to further manage those disease states and work directly with patients.
I also am able to meet with patients to discuss new medications or changes in their medications and answer any questions they may have regarding their medications. This includes meeting with patients to discuss smoking cessation and different medications that are available to help them quit smoking. I can also provide answers to questions about vaccines, and I endeavor to be a resource to not only our patients, but our staff as well.
