Job Summary: The Data & Quality Specialist provides support to the health center’s quality improvement and risk management program. The Data & Quality Specialist supports coordination among all services and departments of the health center. The Data & Quality Specialist maintains confidentiality of the Health Center information and establishes and maintains working relationships with staff in all departments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works closely with the Director of Quality & Program Development and members of the QI team to complete quality improvement/risk management activities and documentation.
- Serves as functional assistant for the Quality Improvement Committee (meets monthly) – prepares agenda, assists with preparation and distribution of packets, and completes minutes.
- Is a resource to staff with regard to Promise’s EHR and IT systems including workflows and troubleshooting.
- Runs standard reports and builds ad hoc and custom reports. Analyzes information and provides feedback regarding data driven process, quality, and performance improvement.
- Assists staff with workflow development in accordance with quality initiatives.
- Participates in monitoring and providing data updates to the staff members.
- Assists in implementing, tracking, and compiling data for surveys such as patient satisfaction surveys.
- Assists in tracking, developing, and leading trainings related to risk management, quality improvement, and Promise-specific processes.
- Maintains knowledge of the various regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, Uniform Data Set (UDS), FTCA, Accountable Care Organizations, and payers.
- Duties may include assisting with grant writing and project proposals.
- Attends staff meetings, in-service and trainings and Promise events on a regular basis.
- Serves as liaison for Iowa PCA committees and workgroups as needed.
- Offers suggestions to improve efficiency and workflows and integrates principles and values of continuous quality improvement throughout the organization.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
- High degree of computer literacy required, proficient in Microsoft and Outlook products.
- Capable of working with computer software and data analytics.
- Capable of managing multiple projects, setting priorities and creating efficiencies.
