Promise Community Health Center is proud to announce Mel Cleveringa as the recipient of the 2025 Addink Community Service Award, honoring her unwavering dedication to the youth of Sioux Center through the ministry, All Kids Can.
Founded by Cleveringa, All Kids Can has become a vital resource in Sioux Center, helping hundreds of children access athletic, artistic, and extracurricular opportunities—regardless of their family’s financial situation. The belief that “involved kids are happy/healthy kids” has guided the mission from day one, and the results speak for themselves.

What began as a dream fueled by prayer, mentorship, and a deep commitment to equity, has grown into a robust ministry that removes financial barriers for families. Cleveringa and the All Kid’s Can Board has poured countless hours into organizing fundraising events, processing referrals, and coordinating with coaches, instructors, and activity leaders throughout the community. From new cleats for soccer to tuition for dance or gear for hockey, All Kids Can ensures that no child is left on the sidelines.
Mel Cleveringa and All Kids Can are an essential part of this community. In Sioux Center, it’s easy to take involvement for granted. But Mel reminds us that participation isn’t possible for every child—unless someone steps in to make it happen. She’s that someone.– Carrigan Lewis
The impact is far-reaching. Hundreds of local children are active and engaged in community programs solely because of this initiative. All Kid’s Can efforts not only provide resources—they foster belonging, confidence, and joy in the lives of young people.

The Addink Community Service Award is given annually by Promise Community Health Center to recognize individuals who demonstrate extraordinary service and compassion toward others. Mel Cleveringa and the All Kid’s Can Organization exemplifies these qualities through their selfless leadership and vision for a more inclusive, supportive community for children.
Promise Community Health Center extends heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Mel Cleveringa and the All Kid’s Can Organization for their passionate service and the life-changing difference they continue to make.
