The proud mom of Miss Anna Geertje, Elianne Hofman, chose Promise Community Health Center for prenatal care because she appreciates how warm and helpful our team is. She also loves the calming presence and personal approach of Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney. Plus, the toys in the exam rooms made every visit fun for big brothers Boaz (3) and Jefta (2)—who always loved to go along to “the heartbeat,” as they called it!
During labor and delivery, Elianne valued the relaxed atmosphere, the ability to track contractions through the app, and the team’s professionalism. In addition to having a beautiful baby girl, she also appreciated that by the time the birth team left, the space was clean, and even a load of laundry was started!
Elianne’s advice for other parents considering home birth:
“It’s the most beautiful and relaxed way to experience birth! Once you do a home birth, you never want it any other way (unless medically necessary, of course).”
