Jacob and Chelse received their prenatal care for Miss Ava Noelle from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg, part of the home birth team from Promise. Promise Community Health Center Prenatal/OB team includes two certified nurse midwives, Audra De Groot and Kari Ney, registered nurses, medical assistants, and interpreters.
The Hamann Burcham family opened their home for Ava’s home birth in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg helped deliver Miss Ava Noelle during the birth at their home.

Our Iowa Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 60 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
