Miss Zoe is the daughter of Katie & Josh Doohen. The Doohen family had a home birth in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Katie and Josh received their prenatal care for Miss Zoe from Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney at Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg part of the home birth team from Promise.
The Doohen’s opened their home for Zoe’s home birth in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Certified Nurse Midwife Kari Ney and OB Nurse Kris Tinklenberg helped deliver Miss Zoe during the birth at their home.
Miss Zoe Lourraine was welcomed into the family by big brother Isaiah (8) and big sister Isabella (5).
The Doohen’s Promise Experience.
At the prenatal check ups the Doohen family loved hearing baby Zoe’s heartbeat on the doppler. During the labor and delivery of Miss Zoe Lourraine the Doohen’s felt incredibly supported and they were so thankful for their awesome birth team! They felt so encouraged! Katie also loved the time she had with baby Zoe and her family right after her birth!

Our Midwives are highly trained and have over 40+ years of combined birthing experience. What do you want your birth experience to look like? Our providers take the time to respectfully explore that question. Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
