HEALTHY HEROES 5K & 2K RACE / 1 MILE FAMILY FUN WALK!
AUGUST 22, 2020 – START TIME: 9AM

SIOUX CENTER, IA 51250
Join us for the 3rd annual Healthy Heroes event! This is a fun and exciting event for the entire family!
The day starts at 9am with a kid friendly 5K and a kid’s only 2K, on the beautiful bike trail winding through the colorful Dordt Prairie.
We are excited to also be adding a kid’s only 2K race. 2K is approx 1.24 miles! The 2K is also on the Sioux Center trail and will cross the road by Dordt. There will be crossing monitors to stop traffic and keep the race safe! ALL participants in this race will get a medal and special medals will go to the top three runners! At 10:30am the energetic and dynamic Physical Therapy Department from Sioux Center Health will lead us through super hero warm-ups and exercises that are sure to get you laughing and having fun!
If the 5K seems daunting join us for a 1 mile walk/ jog with fun “hands free” activities and obstacles along a quiet, welcoming Sioux Center neighborhood. For this walk dogs are welcome, strollers are welcome and walk/joggers are welcome as well! Click the button below to sign up your family!
Throughout the morning visit the socially distanced booths at the health fair with interactive learning and opportunities for prizes! We are excited for booths that will teach your kiddos about the 5-2-1-0 program. 5 veggies and fruits a day, 2 hours or less on technology, 1 hour of exercising per day and 0 sugary drinks!
Also there will be a booth with free car seat checking and more!
Door Prizes, a grand prize of a family pass to the SC Siouxnami for summer 2021 and MORE!
Worried about COVID? We are taking extra precautions like lots of 6 feet apart signage, an abundance of hand sanitizer, a staggered start for the races and walk and face masks are optional as well! We want to make sure at this event you family feels safe!
