We are thrilled to announce that our very own Pharmacist, Kendra Borchers, has been recognized as one of N’West Iowa Review’s 20 Under 40!
In November of 2018, Kendra joined the Promise Community Health Center team as a pharmacist. She was drawn by our commitment to providing accessible, holistic healthcare for the community. As a Sioux Center native, the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of her hometown resonated deeply.
With a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Drake University in Des Moines, IA, she was well-prepared for her role at Promise CHC. Before her career at Promise, Kendra gained invaluable experience as a pharmacy intern. This background equipped her with a solid foundation in pharmaceutical care, paving the way for her role as she assists providers in finding the best medication for patients and aids in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
One of the hallmarks of Promise CHC is its array of medical services, available to all patients regardless of insurance status. From family medicine and dentistry to optometry mental health services, Promise is committed to addressing the diverse healthcare needs of the community. As a pharmacist, Kendra plays a crucial role in medication management, ensuring patients receive treatment plans made to fit their unique needs.
Promise is a wonderful place to work! We put patients first and continue to focus on opportunities to improve the health of our patients and our community.– Kendra Borcher, Pharm D
At Promise, collaboration and teamwork are at the forefront of the approach to patient care. Kendra is part of a work culture where cooperation from multiple departments is vital. Whether through face-to-face and electronic consults or committee meetings, she collaborates daily with coworkers to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care. Every day presents new opportunities for her to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives and contribute to the community’s health.
