PROMISE BOARD

Promise Community Health Center is a patient centered board-governed organization. Our board is composed of committed and enthusiastic individuals from the community, including business leaders, organization partners and patients of the health center. Our board holds regular meetings, volunteers at our events, advocates for Promise and its patients, plans for Promise’s future, and oversees its operations and financial committments.

PROMISE EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP

Emily Tuschen, CEO

Emily Tuschen has been the Chief Executive Officer at Promise Community Health Center since July 2022. Previously, she served as Co-Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, she oversees the continued development of clinical services at the health center, which includes the medical, prenatal, dental, vision, and mental health departments.

Tuschen began serving at Promise in January 2016 as a clinic nurse. She has also served as clinic manager and chief operating officer. Tuschen brings varied medical experience and expertise to Promise, previously working at critical access hospitals in a variety of departments, including emergency, labor and delivery, postpartum, and medical floor.

She earned an associate’s degree in nursing from St. Luke’s College in Sioux City in 2008 and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Dordt University in Sioux Center in 2009.
