Jude, son of Wyatt and Heidi of Brandon, SD, was born 5:25 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, in his home, weighing 7 pounds and measuring 21 inches. He has two siblings, Harper and Mathias.
Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth. Registered nurse Kari Ney also assisted with the home birth.

Patients must be located within 75 miles of Sioux Center, have a low-risk pregnancy, no history of cesarean section and no major medical history.
