
The recipient of the 2025 Spirit of Promise Award is Pharmacist, Dr. Kendra Borchers!
The Spirit of Promise Award celebrates an employee who exemplifies outstanding dedication, initiative, motivation, a positive attitude, and exceptional service to patients and fellow staff. This award is given annually to a team member who consistently lives out the values and mission of Promise Community Health Center.
Kendra’s expertise and knowledge are sought out by nearly every department at Promise. She is approachable, reliable, and always willing to help — doing so with a smile, even while working out of what might be one of the coldest offices in the building.
Her commitment to patient care goes far beyond medications. Kendra works closely with providers to make thoughtful medication recommendations while also spending time directly with patients. She takes the time to explain medication use, listen to concerns, and follow up — whether by phone or in person — especially when a patient is starting a new medication. For patients who cannot read, Kendra finds creative and safe ways to help them identify and take their medications correctly.
Beyond her clinical excellence, Kendra brings positivity and warmth to Promise every day. She greets everyone with a friendly hello, jumps in whenever help is needed, and is known for brightening the workplace with both candy and impressive Disney insight.
Kendra is a trusted team player, a valued resource across departments, and a true reflection of what it means to live the Spirit of Promise. Promise Community Health Center is grateful for her compassion, dedication, and the heart she brings to her work.
